IOS 20 REDEFINING FLUIDITY WITH LIQUID GLASS AND PERFORMANCE BOOSTS

Apple has officially unveiled iOS 20 at WWDC 2026, bringing a suite of performance-focused updates and a new visual language centered around Liquid Glass.

LIQUID GLASS CUSTOMIZATION A standout feature of iOS 20 is the ability for users to select exactly how much Liquid Glass effect they want throughout the system interface. This allows for a highly personalized level of depth and translucency, moving beyond static transparency to a dynamic, physics-based UI layer.

APPLICATIONS AND SPEED Efficiency has taken a major leap forward. Apps now preload on the iPhone, resulting in a 30 percent faster launch speed across the board. This is complemented by a new camera capture engine that speeds up photo shooting and an AirDrop protocol that is 70 to 80 percent faster than previous versions.

LEGACY DEVICE SUPPORT In a surprising move, Apple has introduced a new CPU scheduler designed specifically to optimize performance on older iPhones, dating all the way back to the iPhone 11. This ensures that the latest system optimizations provide a tangible speed boost even on legacy hardware.

SMARTER CONNECTIVITY Connectivity is also more intelligent. iOS 20 now features a smarter switching mechanism between cellular data and Wi-Fi, anticipating network drops and ensuring a seamless transition without interrupting active downloads or streams.

These updates reinforce Apple's commitment to both visual innovation and fundamental system performance.
